Nature of the Service
This is a private reference site with no connection to the Pocahontas County Sheriff, any jail, WVDCR, a court, the Parole Board, or another government body. It stores no official jail, release, inmate, or court records. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, file a document, or act for a user.
The pages point toward Pocahontas County and West Virginia records resources and may connect visitors with outside research tools. The site is not a private investigation firm and is not a consumer reporting agency.
Acceptable Use Rules
Use the site lawfully and in a way that does not harm people, systems, or other visitors. You agree that you will not:

Pocahontas County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide credit reports, background checks, consumer reports, or screening services. Its advertising and search partners do not offer those services through this site.
You agree not to use information from these pages or linked tools for hiring or firing, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance rates, licenses, permits, government-program eligibility, or any other decision regulated by the FCRA.

A link is provided for convenience and does not endorse the destination. We do not control an outside site’s content, privacy practices, prices, results, security, or uptime. Review its terms before using it.
No Warranties
The site and all content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no promise that information is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a specific need. We also do not promise that a partner search will be complete.
Custody and public-record information changes quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement from a Sheriff, jail, court, corrections department, or federal agency. Verify a fact with the office that created the record.
Liability Limits

Updates and Access
We may revise these terms at any time. A revision takes effect when posted. We may also suspend, limit, or revoke access at any time, for any lawful reason, without advance notice. Continued use after a posted change means acceptance of the updated terms.
West Virginia Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in West Virginia.
Severability
If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected term will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it lawful and enforceable.
